The bed was especially plush, ensuring restful nights, and the attention to detail in the room’s décor added to the overall sense of refinement. One of the unique highlights of this hotel is its renowned Bavarian Beer Garden. It’s rare to find such an authentic experience in the heart of Beijing, and I was thoroughly impressed. The food and beverages offered a true taste of Bavaria, and the lively atmosphere made for a memorable evening. Position is top and the access to the Yansha river area behind is great. And so is the access to metro station, shopping centre and other shopping areas. The food choice at breakfast is absolutely great. We also had dinner once at their main buffet restaurant and it was not second to the high quality of the breakfast. The staff are super nice. The rooms are not brand new but very comfortable (especially the beds) and well clean, with very attentive staff coming to the room more than once a day to check on your necessities. The concierge desk and bell boys are very efficient too. We felt that it was a great place to stay and settle down in Beijing after a long flight and before a long adventure in China. It’s a classic stay with great value for money!

I was given a complimentary upgrade which was a nice touch and it was a lovely room, really spacious, modern and finished to a really high standard. It made for a really comfortable stay. Breakfast was impressive with lots of high quality options for people of all different counties and diets. Lunch buffets however were even better! So many different types of meats, salads, seafoods. The hotel is a large complex also with other bars and restaurants, so again lots of choice. Location was ideal: by a small river which was picturesque and had more bars and restaurants alongside it. It was also 12 miles to the airport. Next time in Beijing i would definitely like to stay here again.

The breakfast buffet selection was fantastic and was a big highlight. As a tourist I wasn't totally sure where would be a good location to stay. The hotel is about an hour drive from the airport, but is worth it. If you're taking tours to the classic tourist locations (Great Wall, Forbidden City, etc), then its in a good location for tour groups to pick you up from. The area is very nice and situated just by a river - lots of nice restaurants near by and a shopping centre next door was very convenient.
